After obtaining an MA in Film, Video, and Media, I taught film appreciation as well as TV studio production in high schools.

After moving to university teaching in 2000, I worked with video both in-studio production and user video and desktop editing.

Currently, I have been working exclusively with Montclair Film in their film education classes and workshops which include screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and other topics with classes for teens and adults.

I facilitate their Cinema + Conversation series and in 2020, while theaters were closed, I began conducting similarly-formatted online film discussions for the Montclair Institute for Lifelong Learning.

During the annual Montclair Film Festival, I am one of the co-advisors to the student Junior Jury.
